DPIIT recognized startups operating the islands shall be exempted from inspections under the following Acts and the Rules framed there under, barring inspections arising out of specific complaints. Startups will be permitted to file self-certifications, in the prescribed formats under various acts: i. Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 ii. Trade Unions Act, 1926 iii. Building and Other Constructions Workers’ (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996 iv. Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946 v. Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1979 vi. Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 vii. The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 viii. The Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 ix. The Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 |
