The process is highly iterative – parts of the process often need to be repeated many times before another can be entered – though the part(s) that get iterated and the number of such cycles in any given project may vary.

Principles of Innovation

The great researcher and professor in the field of management and entrepreneurship, Peter F. Drucker, in his book Innovation and Entrepreneurship(1) lists several principles which should be respected by innovators. He has grouped these principles in ―Do ‘s and ―Don’ts in the process of innovation.

What is Innovation?


Enterprises today act under a big pressure by other enterprises, which offer the same or similar production or service, or they are under the pressure of the customers who expect more and more from the product they consume. In order to face with the new conditions and situations, enterprises are made to continuously search for new ways of production, namely offering new products or enhancing existing ones. In other words, they should continuously introduce innovations. But, what in fact do innovations represent?

3D Printing of Metal parts


Selective Laser Melting (SLM) and Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) are two metal additive manufacturing processes that belong to the powder bed fusion 3D printing family. The two technologies have a lot of similarities: both use a laser to scan and selectively fuse (or melt) the metal powder particles, bonding them together and building a part layer-by-layer. Also, the materials used in both processes are metals that come in a granular form.

Binder Jetting – 3D Printing Process


Binder Jetting is a family of additive manufacturing processes. In Binder Jetting, a binder is selectively deposited onto the powder bed, bonding these areas together to form a solid part one layer at a time. The materials commonly used in Binder Jetting are metals, sand, and ceramics that come in a granular form.

Material Jetting – 3D Printing Process


Material Jetting (MJ) is an additive manufacturing process that operates in a similar fashion to 2D printers. In material jetting, a printhead (similar to the printheads used for standard inkjet printing) dispenses droplets of a photosensitive material that solidifies under ultraviolet (UV) light, building a part layer-by-layer. The materials used in MJ are thermoset photopolymers (acrylics) that come in a liquid form.

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) – 3D Printing Process


Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is an Additive Manufacturing process that belongs to the Powder Bed Fusion family. In SLS, a laser selectively sinters the particles of a polymer powder, fusing them together and building a part layer-by-layer. The materials used in SLS are thermoplastic polymers that come in a granular form.

Stereolithography (SLA) – 3D Printing Process


Stereolithography (SLA) is an additive manufacturing process that belongs to the Vat Photopolymerization family. In SLA, an object is created by selectively curing a polymer resin layer-by-layer using an ultraviolet (UV) laser beam. The materials used in SLA are photosensitive thermoset polymers that come in a liquid form.

Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) – 3D printing Process


Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), or Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF), is an additive manufacturing process that belongs to the material extrusion family. In FDM, an object is built by selectively depositing melted material in a pre-determined path layer-by-layer. The materials used are thermoplastic polymers and come in a filament form.

3D Printing – New age of Machining process.


3D printing or additive manufacturing is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file.The creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes. In an additive process an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the object is created. Each of these layers can be seen as a thinly sliced horizontal cross-section of the eventual object.

Important terminologies of Thermodynamics


A thermodynamic system may be defined as any specified portion of matter in the universe which is under study. A system may consist of one or more substances. Or if we defined it in terms of physics then In physics, the term “system” usually refers to any set of physical interactions isolated from the rest of the universe. Anything outside of the system, including all factors and forces irrelevant to a discussion of that system, is known as the environment.e.g., portion of test tube where reaction is taking place, is called system.

Thermodynamics – One of the main pillar of engineering science


Thermodynamics is the oldest branch of engineering science and specifically of physics. It deals with the relationships between heat and other forms of energy. In another terms we can say that it deals with the transfer of energy from one form to another form and one place to another place.Thermodynamic focuses on concepts surrounding energy, and in the various states that systems possess, as defined by their state variables such as pressure, temperature, volume, entropy, concentration and so on.

A hoverbike (or hovercycle) is a vehicle that can hover, but that otherwise resembles a motorbike, mainly by having at least two propulsive portions – one in front of and one behind the driver. And it similar to work on the concept of UAV Drone. Model is created and rendered with Solidworks.

A ball valve is a shut-off valve that controls the flow of a liquid or gas by means of a rotary ball having a bore. By rotating the ball a quarter turn (90 degrees) around its axis, the medium can flow through or is blocked. This model is created with solid works.
